Catch of the Day

Hallmark is serving up one last helping of summer romance with Catch of the Day, the final premiere of August 2025. Just as Sophie (Emilie Ullerup) is about to reel in her dream job as a New York executive chef, life tosses her back to her small hometown and straight into the path of Cam (Michael Rady), the old crush she never quite got over. Suddenly, the question isn’t just what’s on the menu at her family’s struggling restaurant, but whether love might be the real catch of the day.

Catch of the Day premiered on Hallmark Channel on Saturday August 30, 2025 (and is available to stream on Hallmark+).

Hallmark’s Catch of the Day follows Sophie, a chef-to-be who returns home, rekindles an old flame, and discovers love may be the real catch Stars Michael Rady and Emilie Ullerup. #HallmarkChannel

About Catch of the Day (Hallmark Channel – 2025)

  • Catch of the Day comes from director Jessica Harmon, who is both an actor and director. With 21 directing credits to her name, she’s helmed everything from Aurora Teagarden Mysteries and Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder to Dream Moms, A Paris Proposal, and the fan-favorite Rip in Time.
  • Andrea Canning and Katie Lee are responsible for the screenplay.
    • With 26 writing credits, Andrea Canning brings plenty of Hallmark experience to Catch of the Day. Her portfolio includes two of the Love on the Danube movies, A Merry Scottish Christmas, A Paris Proposal, Christmas Bedtime Stories, and South Beach Love.
    • Katie Lee is also credited as a writer and producer on the film – and even makes an on-screen appearance as food blogger Marissa. Katies is best known as a celebrity chef and television personality, she previously penned Groundswell, which was adapted into a Hallmark movie based on her novel.
  • Michael Rady stars in the role of Cam. With 57 acting credits, Hallmark fans last saw Michael in Where Are You, Christmas? from 2023. We’re especially excited for his return – after all, he’s the leading man in two of our Hallmark favorites: Love to the Rescue andYou’re Bacon Me Crazy.
  • Emilie Ullerup stars as Sophie. Hallmark fans last saw her in the 2023 film Retreat to You, but she’s best known in the Hallmark universe as Bree O’Brien on Chesapeake Shores and Dale in Signed, Sealed, Delivered. And if you’re looking for something a little different, don’t miss her in Lifetime’s Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story – it’s well worth the watch.
