A Little Park Music

Did somebody say magic piano in a gazebo? Not a flyer, not a permit, not a single person claiming responsibility. Just: piano. For city manager Allie, this is a problem. A charming, impossible, music-filled problem.

A Little Park Music pairs Allie with Ryan, a rookie cop who’s been tasked with helping her figure out what to do about the mystery instrument. Naturally, neither of them is prepared for what happens next. The piano stays. The music plays. Love, as it turns out, is just as hard to move as an upright in a gazebo.

This one is part of Hallmark’s Spring Into Love 2026 lineup and premieres on Saturday, April 11 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel. It will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the following day.

The Story

When a piano mysteriously appears in the park gazebo, city manager Allie has a job to do: get it removed. Enter Ryan, a rookie cop assigned to help her sort it out. What neither of them bargains for is that music doesn’t care much about city ordinances. The more time they spend trying to solve the mystery of the piano, the harder it becomes to walk away from it. Or from each other.

The Cast of A Little Park Music

Laci J. Mailey as Allie

If you watched Chesapeake Shores, you already know Laci J. Mailey — she played Jess O’Brien across the full run of Hallmark’s beloved family drama, and she was a fan favorite for good reason. The Canadian actress started her career in Vancouver and has racked up credits across Falling Skies, The Romeo Section, Supernatural, and Arrow, among others. She also founded Good Fruit Productions, where she writes and directs indie films, and Variety named her one of their Canadian Talents to Watch.

Beau Mirchoff as Ryan

Beau Mirchoff has had one of the more eclectic careers you’ll find in the Hallmark universe. He grew up on Vancouver Island (born in Seattle, moved two days later — practically a local), started acting at 13, and broke out as Matty McKibben on MTV’s Awkward, a role he held for five seasons and won a Teen Choice Award for. Since then he’s popped up in Desperate Housewives, Good Trouble, Narcos: Mexico, Now Apocalypse, and a Bruce Willis action movie he seemed genuinely thrilled about. On the Hallmark side, he’s had roles in Hidden Gems, The Finnish Line, and the series Ride.

Briana Buckmaster as Monica Murphy

If you are a Supernatural fan, you already love Briana Buckmaster. She played Sheriff Donna Hanscum across multiple seasons of the beloved CW series and became such a fan favorite that she was slated to star in the spinoff Wayward Sisters (which, RIP, we still think about). The Saskatchewan-born actress is also a singer (she released her debut album Begin in 2018) and a theater performer with deep roots in Canadian stage productions.

The Rest of the Cast

Everett Andres plays Sam, Frances Flanagan plays Julia, Louis Lay plays Dex, and Stephanie Petallano plays Theresa. We’re keeping an eye on all of them.

Behind the Camera

A Little Park Music is directed by Peter Benson, a familiar name to anyone who’s spent time in the Hallmark universe. He’s a Canadian actor, writer, director, and producer — probably best known on screen as Detective Arthur Smith in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries series, and behind the camera for a long list of Hallmark titles including The Wedding Veil Expectations, The Santa Stakeout, Sweet Carolina, and Navigating Christmas. He’s also married to fellow actor Julia Benson, and the two have worked together on several projects.
