Paris Is Always a Good Idea: Lacey Chabert’s New Hallmark+ Limited Series Is Here
Lacey Chabert is heading to Paris and we have everything you need to know about Hallmark+’s most romantic limited series yet.
Production has officially begun on Paris Is Always a Good Idea and if the cast, the locations, and the Jenn McKinlay bestseller it’s based on are any indication, this six-episode Hallmark+ limited series is in contention to become the event of the year.

What Is Paris Is Always a Good Idea?
Paris Is Always a Good Idea is a brand-new, six-episode limited series streaming exclusively on Hallmark+, based on the beloved bestselling romance novel of the same name by Jenn McKinlay. It stars Hallmark fan-favorite Lacey Chabert alongside Scott Michael Foster (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), and it is currently filming on location in Paris and Spain.
The story centers on Chelsea Martin (Chabert), a driven nonprofit executive who travels to Paris to secure a major donation alongside her charming rival-turned-ally Jason Knightly (Foster). But when a heartfelt message from her late mother surfaces Chelsea embarks on an unexpected journey (with a push from her sister Annabelle played by Rebecca Hanssen) to reconnect with three great loves she left behind. From Ireland to Paris to the sun-soaked vineyards of Spain, she retraces old footsteps and discovers that sometimes moving forward means first looking back.

The Cast: Who’s Who
Chabert and Foster lead a dynamic ensemble that spans Hallmark favorites and exciting new faces. Henry Czerny (Revenge, Ready or Not) and Barbara Niven (Chesapeake Shores) round out the primary cast, while Stephen Hagan (Love of the Irish), Julien Marlon Samani (An Alpine Holiday), and Alejandro Albarracín (Dreams of Freedom) bring the three past loves to life.
Chabert also steps into the role of executive producer on this project. It’s a creative partnership that promises to bring even more authenticity and passion to Chelsea’s journey.

Why This Series Is Different
Hallmark has been steadily expanding its serialized storytelling on Hallmark+, and Paris Is Always a Good Idea represents a significant step: a six-episode arc built around a single character’s emotional journey across three countries. The structure allows the series to breathe in ways a traditional movie can’t: each country, each ex, each chapter of Chelsea’s past gets real space to unfold.
Fans of Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas will recognize the structure of this series. Viewers loved the deep dive into Kate’s life in that holiday limited series and we here at Girls Gone Hallmark are crossing our fingers that this has that same magic.
