After a brief interruption for Christmas in July, we have a slate full of new movies – no Hallmark+ repeats in the bunch! This month has it all, romance, mystery, and the second season return of a series. Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights continues with a string of all-new Saturday premieres each week in August, plus your Sundays are heating up with The Chicken Sisters and a mystery. Here’s your complete guide to the movies you won’t want to miss in August 2025 on Hallmark— mark your calendars!

Providence Falls: Chance of a Lifetime
Special Event – Part 1 of 3
Premieres: Saturday, August 2 at 8/7c
Stars: Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, Evan Roderick
Premise: Rookie police detective Cora teams up with visiting detective Liam—unbeknownst to her, a reincarnation of her past love—on her first major case, sparking fate and romance in Providence Falls.

Providence Falls: An Impossible Promise
Special Event – Part 2 of 3
Premieres: Saturday, August 9 at 8/7c
Stars: Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, Evan Roderick
Premise: As Cora and Liam’s chemistry deepens, they confront a case that blurs the line between love and sacrifice, placing their bond to the test.

Providence Falls: Thief of Fate
Special Event – Part 3 of 3
Premieres: Saturday, August 16 at 8/7c
Stars: Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby, Evan Roderick
Premise: The thrilling conclusion sends Cora and Liam into a race against time to thwart a mysterious criminal intent on altering destiny—and perhaps their hearts.
First Impression: Even former Hallmark hater Wendy is pretty excited about this time travel series. We’re looking forward to seeing our girl Katie Stevens back on our screens after the conclusion of The Bold Type.
Mystery Island: Play for Keeps
Premieres: Sunday (special one-off), August 17 at 8/7c
Stars: Elizabeth Henstridge, Charlie Weber
Premise: The return of Emelia’s ex as a guest on Mystery Island complicates matters. Of course, a guest on Mystery Island turns up dead.

First Impression: We’re glad to see this one back on the schedule after it disappeared mysteriously from the June Schedule.
Double Scoop
Premieres: Saturday, August 23 at 8/7c
Stars: Taylor Cole, Ryan McPartlin
Premise: Nora and her former colleague James both try to land the same ice cream company as a client. Their competition ignites old sparks.
First Impression: We’re excited to see Jacklyn Collier play Nora’s best friend!
Catch of the Day
Premieres: Saturday, August 30 at 8/7c
Stars: Emilie Ullerup, Michael Rady
Premise: Uh-oh, big city girls returns home to save her family’s restaurant just as she’s about to make it as an executive chef in NYC. Her old Crush is also on the scene to complicate matters.
The Chicken Sisters Season Two Premieres in August!
Season 2 of The Chicken sisters will air on Hallmark Channel starting on Sunday, August 10th. While we haven’t seen a trailer for this new season yet we do know two things: First of all, the show has a new showrunner – Erin Gibson. Second of all, James Davis Elliott will be joining the cast this season
First Impression: We’re a house divided on this series. It remains to be determined if we’ll be covering this one on Girls Gone Hallmark.
