Girls Gone Hallmark unpacks A Machu Picchu Proposal – a high-altitude love story that left us a little lightheaded, and not just from the elevation. Katie travels to Peru to help plan her brother’s picture-perfect proposal, but when things go sideways thanks to an overly spontaneous chef named Carlos, the two set off on a quest to find the most romantic spot in the country. Spoiler alert: it might just be Peru itself that steals the show. Let’s just say when the scenery outshines the chemistry, you know you’ve got problems.
A Machu Picchu Proposal premiered on Hallmark Channel on Saturday June 29, 2025 (and is available to stream the next day on Hallmark+).

Who is in A Machu Picchu Proposal (Hallmark – 2025):
- A Machu Picchu Proposal was directed by Colin Theys. Colin has directed several other movies starring Rhiannon Fish in his career including Polar Opposites from January and A Costa Rican Wedding. Colin loves an on location shoot having also directed A Greek Recipe for Romance and Love in the Maldives.
- Juliana Wimbles wrote the script for A Machu Picchu Proposal. This is Juliana’s 8th acting credit having previously written This Time Each Year and A Costa Rican Wedding. Juliana is also known for her long-time running role as Lisa in A Hannah Swensen Mystery franchise.
- Rhiannon Fish stars at Katie. Rhiannon is currently in the running for the star we’ve seen most frequently on Hallmark in 2025 as she was in the latest Signed, Sealed, Delivered installment as well as Polar Opposites during January.
- Alec Santos plays love interest Carlos. Alec previously appeared in all four Unwrapping Christmas movies, re-airing on Hallmark Channel during Christmas in July.
- Christopher Viera plays Katie’s twin Dan. This is Christopher’s first appearance on Hallmark.
- Michelle Rossello plays fiancé Luciana. This is Michelle’s fourth acting credit and her first time appearing on Hallmark.
