What’s Coming to Hallmark May 2025

What is happening over at Hallmark? No, really…that’s a genuine question. Hallmark dropped its May 2025 lineup and we’re staring down a calendar with just two new original movies and the network premiere of Love on the Danube – yes, the ones that already aired on Hallmark+ last fall. Let’s take a look at what’s coming to Hallmark May 2025.

Nice Try, Hallmark – We’ve Seen This One Before

Why are we seeing previously released Hallmark+ originals dressed up as brand-new premieres on Hallmark Channel? We suspect this all traces back to the big behind-the-scenes shake-up that swept through Hallmark Media not too long ago. We’re thrilled they’re not going full slash-and-burn (like, well, you know) so I guess we can give them some time to steady the sleigh, so to speak.

Mark our words: The Groomsmen trilogy will strut onto the Hallmark Channel lineup just in time for June, the network’s unofficial wedding season

Love on the Danube Premieres on Hallmark Channel

The Love on the Danube collection gave us three enjoyable Hallmark movies set aboard the same river cruise ship, winding through some truly gorgeous European scenery. Each film offered its own romantic storyline with new characters, but the shared setting (and a few recurring characters) helped tie the trilogy together in a fun, cohesive way. While none of the movies quite cracked our all-time favorites list, we appreciated the creative use of location and the lighter, travel-adventure tone. It’s a solid collection that gave us something a little different from the usual small-town setups.

Hats Off to Love

First Impression: Ginna Claire Mason is an absolute gem, and we’re genuinely excited to see her in a role outside the holiday season. Even better? We’re thrilled to welcome Holly Robinson Peete back to our screens.

Love in the Clouds

Stars Paul Greene, McKenzie Westmore, Gail O’Grady and Lorenzo Lamas

Story: Reporter Brooklyn travels to the Balloon Fiesta to meet hot air balloon pilot Jared, who offers romantic balloon rides but is closed off to love himself.

First Impression: All signs point to this being an acquisition – especially since it already has a full IMDb profile under the alternate title Love in the Air.

Are There Any New Hallmark Mysteries for May 2025?

As of press time, there are no mystery movies scheduled for May 2025 – and we have questions. We know there are at least two Hannah Swensen Mysteries already in the can, filming has wrapped on another installment of True Justice, and fans are eagerly asking for more Curious Caterer. So… where are they?

We wouldn’t be surprised if another Jane Mysteries movie from its Hallmark+ debut last year makes its way to Hallmark Mystery. As soon as we know more, we’ll keep you posted!

Update: As suspected, The Jane Mysteries: Murder at Moseby will make its network debut on Hallmark Mysteries on Thursday, May 8th.

How Many Episodes Does The Chicken Sisters Have?

The Chicken Sisters will continue airing Sunday nights through the month of April, with new episodes dropping weekly. The series is set for a total of 8 episodes and will wrap up its run on May 19th.

The Motherhood Coming to Hallmark+

Hallmark+ is giving viewers another brand-new unscripted series hosted by Connie Britton, premiering Monday, May 5 at 8/7c called The Motherhood – a surprisingly random debut night for the streamer. The show follows real moms supporting each other through the highs and lows of motherhood, but here’s the wild part: you’d never know it’s reality based on the promotional material. With glossy visuals and Hallmark’s signature tone, the marketing makes The Motherhood look more like a heartfelt drama than an unscripted series. Still, we’re curious to see how this new direction unfolds.

First Impression: This one might not be for us – unless these moms are talking about the college application process.
