Who is in Royal Matchmaker (Hallmark Channel – 2018):

  • Mike Rohl directed Royal Matchmaker. He has an impressive resume with 64 directing credits, including When Calls the Heart, Falling Together, and both The Cases of Mystery Lane movies. This isn’t his only foray into royal films – he also directed all three The Princess Switch movies for Netflix.
  • Mark Amato wrote the screenplay for Royal Matchmaker. He has 29 writing credits, and his last Hallmark movie was A Kiss Before Christmas in 2021. He has also worked on the sitcom series Baby Daddy and The Suite Life on Deck.
  • Bethany Joy Lenz (credited only as Joy Lenz) stars as Kate. This was Bethany’s second movie for the network, following The Christmas Secret in 2014. Since 2018, she’s gone on to star in hits like An Unexpected Christmas, A Biltmore Christmas, and Savoring Paris.
  • Will Kemp plays Prince Sebastian. Will has 48 acting credits and has appeared in several Hallmark favorites like Paging Mr. Darcy and The Christmas Waltz. He also appeared in The Princess Switch 3, directed by Mike Rohl.
  • Brittany Bristow plays assistant Britney. She has 50 acting credits moving into leading roles in movies like My Sweet Austrian Holiday (co-starring Will Kemp) and A Safari Romance.
  • Joseph Thompson plays valet Victor. Joseph has 18 acting credits and this is his only project for Hallmark.
  • Simon Dutton plays King Edward. He has 55 acting credits but this isn’t his only royal role. He also appeared in movies like A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding and A Royal Christmas.
  • Poppy Roe plays Victor’s love interest Loraine. She’s got 23 acting credits but this is her only project for Hallmark.
  • Elva Trill plays Petra Petrovich. She’s an Irish actress who has had parts in movies like Jurassic World: Dominion and an Alec Baldwin movie from 2024 called Kid Santa. This appears to be her only project for Hallmark.
  • Woody Hamilton Hurst plays Victor’s son Rudy. This is his one and only acting project according to IMDb.
  • Royal Matchmaker was filmed in Romania. It originally aired in February 2018.
