Hallmark Mystery returns us to Mystery Island with its latest installment, Mystery Island: House Rules. With expansion plans underway, the Island team welcomes their Mystery Mountain counterparts for a friendly murder game. But when the fun turns deadly with a murder in plain sight, the stakes rise higher than anyone anticipated.
But wait…do we think Mystery Mountain might be a new Hallmark mystery franchise?
Mystery Island: House Rules premieres on Hallmark Channel on Sunday September 14, 2025 (and is available to stream on Hallmark+ the following day).
About Mystery Island: House Rules
- John Christian Plummer is Hallmark’s resident mystery-writing extraordinaire. The creative force behind Mystery 101 and Curious Caterer, he’s back at it again, penning another twist-filled installment for the Mystery Island franchise.
- Elizabeth Henstridge is back as Dr. Emilia Priestley. With 23 acting credits to her name, Hallmark fans will recognize her from Christmas at the Plaza, while Marvel fans know her best from her long-running role on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
- Charlie Weber returns as Jason Trent. With nearly 50 acting credits, he’s best known for his role as Frank Delfino on How to Get Away with Murder and has appeared in fan favorites like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Underemployed.
- Kezia Burrows also returns as Baroness Jane Alcott. With nearly 90 acting credits, she’s a familiar face to international audiences from projects like Doctors and Crash.
- Suanne Braun returns as Morgan Bennett. With 43 acting credits, she’s perhaps best known as Mrs. Donatelli from The Princess Switch franchise.
- Donald Sage Mackay plays Dr. Stanley Williams. With 64 acting credits, Donald has appeared in projects like Red, White & Royal Blue and Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. This appears to be his first Hallmark role.
- Francisco Labbe plays Carlos Del Fuego. Another new face on Hallmark, Francisco has also appeared in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan.
- Sophie Meister appears as Inga Sorenson. With 28 acting credits, this is her first time on Hallmark.
