  • Carter is a crime comedy-drama that originally aired on CTV starting on May 15, 2018.
  • WGN America acquired the airing rights shortly after the Canadian debut and began airing the series in the United States in August 2018.

Who Stars in the Canadian Series Carter

  • Garry Campbell created Carter. In addition to Carter, Garry has written on The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Mad TV, and North of North currently airing on Netflix.
  • Jerry O’Connell plays Harley Carter. Jerry got his start in the movie Stand By Me and his career has included 137 acting projects. He’s been in iconic movies like Jerry Maguire and Can’t Hardly Wait as well as TV series like Sliders, Crossing Jordan, and Star Trek: Lower Decks.
  • Sydney Tamiia Poitier, daughter of Sydney Poitier, plays Detective Sam Shaw. Her resume of 38 acting projects includes other crime dramas like Hawaii 5-0 and Chicago P.D.
  • Kristian Bruun plays Dave Leigh. He has a long list of acting credits and has been in some Hallmark projects like Crashing Through the Snow and Good Witch.
  • Brenda Camino plays Dot Yasuda. Brenda also appeared in The Glass Castle and the series You’re Never Alone.
  • Dennis Akiyama plays Koji Yasuda. Dennis sadly passed in 2018 and only appears in six episodes of this series.
