Tidings for the Season
Get ready, Hallmark fans – Tidings for the Season is on the way, and viewers are already buzzing to see B.J. Britt take the lead opposite Tamera Mowry-Housley. Britt steps into the role of Adam Kade, a buttoned-up newscaster whose life is all deadlines and hard news…until a young superfan and his determined single mom shift his entire holiday outlook. With the promise of heartfelt storytelling, hometown-hero moments, and a chemistry-filled pairing we cannot wait to watch unfold, this movie is shaping up to be one of the season’s most anticipated premieres. Tidings for the Season will premiere on Sunday, November 16th, on Hallmark Channel as part of Countdown to Christmas (and will be available to stream the following day on Hallmark+.)

About Tidings for the Season
- Linda-Lisa Hayter directs Tidings for the Season, marking her 17th project behind the camera. Her previous Hallmark work includes Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C and Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back.
- Joey Elkins and Blake Silver are responsible for the script.
- Joey Elkins has eight writing credits and a strong Hallmark resume, including Game of Love, Autumn in the City, and Unlocking Christmas. He’s also contributed to the hit Netflix series Outer Banks.
- Blake Silver also has nine writing credits and has worked on many of the same Hallmark titles.
- B.J. Britt stars as Adam Kade. With 58 acting credits, B.J. is probably best known for his role as Pete from The Groomsmen trilogy. It’s worth noting that B.J. recently starred in #WorstChristmasEver on Amazon Prime that currently has a 10/10 rating on IMDb.
- Tamera Mowry-Housely stars as Lucy. Tamera has 41 acting credits and we last saw her in Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Buried at C. She is currently hosting the Hallmark reality baking competition Baked with Love: Holiday.
- Elijah-Justus Lewis plays Robbie. This is his second acting credit and first project for Hallmark.
- Matthew James Dowden plays Todd. You might recognize Matthew from his role as Pastor McGregor on The Chicken Sisters. This movie marks his 35th acting credit.
- This movie had an original working titles of Tonight’s Top Story. It was filmed in and around Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in August 2025.
