The Way Home Season 4 Episode 4: Elliot Walks Into a Bar…
The Way Home Season 4 Episode 4, “We’ve Got Tonight,” finds the mystery in Port Haven getting even more tangled as Kat fully leans into detective mode while simultaneously deciding that maybe The Herald no longer has a place in the town she’s trying so hard to understand. In the 1970s, Alice continues piecing together the past, learning surprising things about Del and coming face-to-face with an increasingly suspicious Tessa. Meanwhile, Jacob remains isolated in Toronto, clearly haunted by more than just memories, and Nick’s return to Port Haven comes with a whole lot of questions, meddling, and involvement in pond business that honestly feels a little too aggressive for our liking.
The Way Home Season 4 Episode 4 premiered on Sunday, May 10, 2026 on the Hallmark Channel (and is available to stream the next day on Hallmark +). The Way Home Seasons 1-3 are currently available on Hallmark+ and Netflix.

The Way Home Season 4 Episode 4 Highlights
Here’s some of the things that had us talking in Season 4 Episode 4 “We’ve Got Tonight”
- Kat Has Officially Become a Full-Time Detective
Kat spends the episode chasing clues, connecting dots, digging through archives, and jumping to conclusions at record speed—all while realizing she may no longer care about saving The Herald. - Alice Learns More About Del’s Past
While back in the late 1970s, Alice witnesses more of Del and Colton’s life together and uncovers emotional details Del never shared with her. - Tessa Continues to Be Extremely Suspicious
Every interaction with Tessa somehow raises more questions. From her interest in the Landry family history to the tension with Fern, nothing about this storyline feels simple. - Jacob Is Haunted by Thomas… Literally
Jacob remains in Toronto trying to convince himself he’s better off away from Port Haven, while Thomas keeps appearing to emotionally terrorize him from reflective surfaces. Welcome back Kris Holden Reid! - Nick Returns to Port Haven and Immediately Starts Meddling
Nick wastes absolutely no time inserting himself into the pond mystery, pressing for details and asking enough questions to make everyone uncomfortable, or maybe just us. - Fern’s Reaction to Tessa Raises Major Red Flags
Fern completely loses it after seeing Tessa with the Landry family almanac, making it very clear there’s history between them that we still don’t fully understand. - Del Suddenly Gets the Ick from Sam
After spending most of the season growing closer to Sam, Del seems thrown by just how comfortable and settled things are becoming between them—ultimately pulling the plug before things get too serious. - Stormy the Horse Continues Her Personal Vendetta Against the Pond
After bucking Del off near the pond and taking off, Stormy once again proves she absolutely does not trust whatever weird time-travel energy is happening out there.
