The countdown to the finale has begun, and we’re all desperate for answers. Will we finally learn who’s behind those cryptic letters? What’s the deal with Nick lurking by the pond? And most importantly—is Colton really gone forever? Join us as we break down your most intriguing theories!
Got your own wild theories on how season 3 will end? Email us at [email protected] and your thoughts might just make it into our final mailbag episodes of the season.
Could Claire Be Del’s Secret Child?
One of the most shocking theories this week suggests Claire might actually be Del’s biological daughter! The evidence? Nick telling Del that Claire is “just like her,” combined with those flashbacks showing Del appearing pregnant.
Could Claire be the mysterious baby in the basket we saw earlier this season? If so, this completely reframes Nick’s return to Port Haven and adds a whole new layer to Del’s complex story.
The Mystery Man in the 1800s: It’s Definitely Jasper
The shadowy figure watching from the cliffs in the 1800s timeline has sparked major debate, but many of you agree with us—it’s Jasper! Despite only getting a brief glimpse, the evidence points to our friendly 1974 musician having deep connections to multiple timelines.

But what are his true intentions? Some believe he’s sending Del the mysterious letters, while others think he’s actually protecting the Landry family. Either way, Jasper’s time-traveling activities seem central to the season’s mysteries.
What’s Nick Really Up To?
Nick continues to raise red flags with his suspicious pond interest and that creepy lurking in the woods. Several viewers spotted something we missed—the camera focusing on Nick’s bag as he was leaving.

Did he take the clock? Could Port Haven’s resident goofball actually have sinister intentions? While we’re hesitant to believe “Bad Nick” theories (we’re not ready for that kind of betrayal), his excessive interest in time travel can’t be ignored.
Wild Theory Alert: Could Alice Become Claire?
In perhaps the most controversial theory of the week, could Alice eventually travel back in time to become Claire and marry Nick?

This would explain why Casey might have “lost their mother” and why Nick suddenly returned to the show. We’re firmly in the “please don’t let this happen” camp, but in a show where anything is possible, we can’t rule it out completely.
What Happened to Finn and That Horse?
Remember Finn, the time-traveling dog? Or the horse Del adopted for Sam? The show seems to have forgotten these furry friends, and you’ve certainly noticed! As the season races toward its conclusion, we’re left wondering if these animal companions will ever make a reappearance or if they’ve been permanently relegated to the cutting room floor.
