About Sugarplummed

  • Sugarplummed was written and directed by Ryan Landels. If his name sounds familiar, it’s because he also wrote and directed Santa Tell Me from earlier this season. This movie marks his second project for Hallmark Channel.
  • Janel Parrish takes on the role of Sugarplum in this movie. This marks her sixth film for Hallmark, and fans might remember her most recently from A Haunted Wedding.
  • Maggie Lawson stars as Emily in this movie. With an impressive 63 acting credits to her name, Hallmark fans might recognize her from her last appearance in Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy back in 2019.
  • Brendon Zub takes on the role of Emily’s husband, Ben. He’s no stranger to Hallmark, with a solid lineup of films under his belt, including the recent Hannah Swensen Mystery: A Sprinkle of Deceit. You might also remember him from Christmas Comes Twice, Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater, and Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Heist and Seek.
  • Kyra Leroux plays Nina, Emily’s daughter. With 18 acting credits to her name, this marks her Hallmark debut. Outside the network, you might recognize her from popular shows like Firefly Lane, Riverdale, and Schmigadoon!
  • Avan Stewart stars as son Max. Having honed his skills in community theater since the age of 7, this marks his debut in film acting.
  • We got a few fun cameos including Victor Webster and Carlos Marks. You might have also recognized Fiona Gubelmann who recently starred in Tis the Season to Be Irish.
  • Charles Jarman plays Ben’s mean boss Harrington. He has 46 acting credits and 140 stunt credits. We last saw him as Baron Sweetwater in Curious Caterer: Foiled Plans.
  • Shiraine Haas plays grouchy neighbor Deborah. Shiraine has 44 acting credits and has been seen in Hallmark movies like Sweeter Than Chocolate and Game, Set, Love.
