What Is Pumpkin Regatta Romance About?
Nadine’s father owns the town boat shop. Ethan grows pumpkins. Their fathers have been locked in a disagreement neither one will let go of, and the town’s Pumpkin Regatta has been sitting dormant because of it.
So Nadine and Ethan decide to fix it themselves. They team up to bring the regatta back and patch up the feud, and working side by side on a shared project does what working side by side on a shared project tends to do in a Hallmark movie.
If you’ve never seen a pumpkin regatta, they’re real. People hollow out giant pumpkins, climb inside, and paddle them across the water. It’s an actual fall tradition in a handful of towns, and it’s exactly the kind of small-town charm that belongs in a Hallmark movie.

Who Stars in Pumpkin Regatta Romance?
Mishael Morgan plays Nadine. Soap fans know her best from The Young and the Restless, where she played Hilary Curtis and later Amanda Sinclair, and where she made history in 2022 as the first Black actress to win the Daytime Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Corey Sevier plays Ethan. He’s a familiar face on the network with a long list of Hallmark movies behind him, and he grew up on Canadian television.

Jake Epstein also stars. Degrassi fans will recognize him immediately as Craig Manning, and he’s since built a career on Broadway in shows including Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
Here’s the fun part: both leads are back on Hallmark Channel in a matter of weeks. Mishael Morgan stars in Hearts All Aglow on December 18, and Corey Sevier stars in A Danish Christmas on November 1. If you like them here, you have two more chances this year.

Why We’re Watching
The premise is genuinely different. Hallmark does a lot of fall festivals, but a pumpkin boat race is a first, and giving the leads a physical project to build toward usually makes for a better movie than a generic town event.
Two dads at war. The feud gives the story a second relationship to repair, which means the movie has somewhere to go beyond the romance.
A strong cast that doesn’t usually work together. Morgan, Sevier and Epstein come from three different corners of television, and that’s an unusual combination for a Hallmark fall movie.
