What Is On the 12th Date of Christmas About?
Two seemingly incompatible game designers team up to create a romantic, city-wide scavenger hunt themed around the 12 Days of Christmas and start falling for each other in the process. Emma is organized, strategic, and rule-following. Aidan is spontaneous, creative, and somewhat allergic to structure. Putting them on the same team is either a terrible idea or a perfect one.
About On the 12th Date of Christmas
Directed by Gary Yates. Gary is a veteran Hallmark director best known for helming fan favorites including A Bride for Christmas, Christmas by Starlight, and Sweet Autumn.
Written by Christine Conradt and Jamie Pachino.
Christine Conradt has a long list of writing credits for both Hallmark and Lifetime, including Pearl in Paradise, As Luck Would Have It, and Open By Christmas.
Jamie Pachino has written for Hallmark as well as episodic television. Her Hallmark credits include Long Lost Christmas, Five More Minutes, and The Secrets of Bella Vista.
Mallory Jansen stars as Jennifer. Mallory is an Australian actress who moved to New York to study at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting before building a television career in the US. She is best known outside of Hallmark for playing the delightfully wicked Queen Madalena in the ABC musical comedy Galavant and for playing the android AIDA in the Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. This was her very first Hallmark movie, and she has since become a genuine fixture on the network. Her Hallmark credits now include Her Pen Pal (2021), Francesca Quinn, PI (2022), Paging Mr. Darcy (2024), All I Need for Christmas (2024), and The Royal We (2025). She also voiced the sea witch Melusina in Netflix’s The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep (2025). Most excitingly, she wrote, executive produced, and starred in A Melbourne Match (2026), a Hallmark movie filmed in her hometown of Melbourne, Australia opposite Ryan Corr. She called wrapping it “one of the most meaningful experiences of my career.” An actress who writes her own Hallmark movie set in her hometown? We love that for her.
Tyler Hynes stars as Aidan. This was Tyler’s seventh movie for Hallmark, and he has kept building on that list ever since. Since On the 12th Date of Christmas he has starred in an enormous number of fan favorites including Winter in Vail, Three Wise Men and a Baby, Above the Clouds, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, and Shifting Gears. Most recently he starred in I’ll Be Seeing You (April 2026). He also hosted the Finding Mr. Christmas competition series on Hallmark+.
