The Cast of Much About Love (Hallmark Channel – 2026)
- Shamim Sarif directs Much About Love. Her TV directing credits include Sullivan’s Crossing and several episodes of Hallmark’s The Way Home across Seasons 1 and 2. This appears to be her first Hallmark movie.
- Ashley Williams and her husband, Neal Dodson, receive story credit, with Dodson and Ramona Barckert credited for the screenplay. This is just Neal’s second writing credit, though he has a long résumé producing Hallmark movies. Ramona has 18 writing credits, including 2024’s ’Twas the Date Before Christmas.
- Ashley Williams stars as Bea. We last saw her in 2025’s An Alpine Holiday, and she’ll return later this year in a holiday movie opposite Alison Sweeney. Ashley also serves as executive producer.
- Niall Matter stars as Benny. We’ll see him again later this year in the forthcoming Hallmark holiday movie A Grand Biltmore Christmas.
- Lindura stars as Hannah. You might recognize her from last year’s A Christmas Angel Match or as Sydney on Sullivan’s Crossing.
- Jonathan Sousa stars as Clay and appears to be making his Hallmark debut.
- Jennifer Dale appears as Toni. With 129 acting credits, her last Hallmark role was in the 2024 movie Operation Christmas.
Where Much About Love Fits in Fall Into Love 2026
Much About Love is the second movie in Hallmark’s eight-movie Fall Into Love event, which runs Saturday nights right up to the start of Countdown to Christmas in October. Following Love Finds You, this Shakespeare-inspired romance brings Ashley Williams and Niall Matter back together for a modern spin on Much Ado About Nothing. And there’s plenty more waiting in the wings this fall: the 2026 lineup leans heavily on When Calls the Heart alumni, with Chris McNally, Kevin McGarry, and Alvina August all appearing, plus two mysteries, two Halloween movies, and the long-awaited return of Lori Loughlin’s Garage Sale Mystery franchise.

A Shakespeare festival could certainly provide some cozy early-fall atmosphere, but we’ll have to watch to find out whether there are actually leaves crunching under Bea and Benny’s feet – or if Hallmark simply slapped a Fall Into Love label on an August romance.
Did You Know? Even if your Shakespeare knowledge begins and ends with Leonardo DiCaprio in Romeo + Juliet, there’s a little wink hiding in the names of our leads. Bea and Benny are modern-day stand-ins for Beatrice and Benedick, the central couple in Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Beatrice and Benedick are famous for their sharp banter, constant verbal sparring, and insistence that they absolutely do not have feelings for each other – which, naturally, means they’re one of literature’s original enemies-to-lovers couples. So Hallmark didn’t just borrow the plot; Bea and Benny’s names are a little Shakespearean Easter egg, too.
