About “Love on the Sideline”
- Directed by prolific Hallmark director Terry Ingram, who work we saw most recently in “The Wedding Cottage”, also 5/6 of “The Wedding Veil” movies and the huge hit “Three Wise Men and a Baby” from the 2022 ‘Countdown to Christmas’ season.
- Written by sister team Sandra and Judith Berg who wrote all six of “The Wedding Veil” movies plus “The Wedding Cottage.”

- Emily Kinney stars as Laurel Welk. She has 29 acting credits and is perhaps best known for her role as Beth Greene on “The Walking Dead.” This is her only Hallmark movie. She’s also a musician and dropped her latest single in 2023 called “Walking Round Your Dreams.”
- John Reardon plays Danny Holland. He most recently was in 83 episodes of “Hudson and Rex” – a Canadian police procedural. In his 40 acting credits, he also had a role in “White Chicks” as well as “Scary Movie 4.” Reardon was also in the 2014 Hallmark Christmas movie “The Christmas Secret” co-starring Bethenny Joy Lenz.
- Joe Theismann plays Danny’s Dad, Owen. He played quarterback for the Washington Redskins.
- This was filmed in Vancouver in October and November 2015.
- Ron Lucas played by Victor Zinck Jr. has 28 acting credits We’ve seen him in “Frozen in Love” and four episodes of “Date My Dad.” Most recently he had a supporting role in 2022’s “The Gift of Peace” starring Brennan Elliott and Nikki DeLoach.
- Patrick Sabongui plays agent Shawn and this is another dude who WORKS. His 124 acting credits include “We Need a Little Christmas” from the 2022 ‘Countdown to Christmas’ season, he’s also been in two eps of “Hudson and Rex” starring the aforementioned John Reardon, and a 2015 movie simply titled “Sorority Murder.”
