Lacey Chabert Disney World Hallmark Movie Coming in 2026: Everything We Know So Far

Hallmark fans just got major holiday news: a brand-new Lacey Chabert Disney World Hallmark movie is officially coming in 2026. The network announced that Chabert, the undisputed queen of Hallmark Christmas, will star in a festive romance filmed on location at Walt Disney World Resor. This is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between Hallmark and Disney.
The movie, titled Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True, was revealed during The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday Christmas Special and immediately lit up the internet with excitement.
When Does the Lacey Chabert Disney World Movie Premiere?
Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True premieres Saturday, November 28, 2026 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, and streams the next day on Hallmark+.
Hallmark confirmed the date on August 5 during a virtual Television Critics Association panel with Darren Abbott, President of Hallmark Media, and Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming as part of the network’s 25th birthday celebration.
And look where they put it: Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving 2026 falls on Thursday, November 26, which makes this the Saturday of Hallmark’s Merry Thanksgiving Weekend block. This is the busiest, most-watched stretch of the entire Countdown to Christmas. Everyone is home, everyone is on the couch, and Hallmark handed that slot to Lacey Chabert at Walt Disney World.

A First for Hallmark: A Disney World Christmas Setting
What sets this Lacey Chabert Disney World Hallmark movie apart is its setting. While Hallmark films are known for their small-town coziness, this one brings the holiday magic straight to the “Most Magical Place on Earth.”
People.com and Variety report that this marks the first time Hallmark has filmed an original Christmas movie inside Disney World, blending two powerhouse brands known for warmth, nostalgia, and feel-good storytelling.
Plot Details: A Holiday Vacation, a Bad First Date, and a Second Chance at Love
Here’s what we know so far about the movie’s storyline:
- Chabert plays Lindsey, who heads to Disney World with her family for a holiday vacation.
- She unexpectedly ends up staying next door to Philip, played by Travis Van Winkle who just so happens to be the guy from a recent disastrous first date.
- As Christmas magic begins to sparkle around them (literally), the two slowly reconnect.
Who’s in the Disney World Hallmark Movie?
Lacey Chabert stars as Lindsey, with Travis Van Winkle (Good Sam, ‘Tis the Season to be Merry) as Philip.
The supporting cast:
- Richard Kind — Only Murders in the Building, and the voice of Bing Bong in Inside Out. A Disney movie casting the voice of Bing Bong is a wink we appreciate.
- Christy Carlson Romano — Kim Possible, Even Stevens. Casting an actual Disney Channel icon in the Disney World movie is the kind of full-circle choice that’s going to send an entire generation straight to the group chat.
- Bryce Durfee — General Hospital
- Taegen Burns — The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers
- Asher Alexander — Hal & Harper
- Patrick Renna — The Sandlot, in a cameo
Ryan Landels wrote and directs, following Santa Tell Me and Sugarplummed.
A Bigger Partnership Between Hallmark and Disney
Hallmark and Disney have collaborated on merchandise before, but this project marks their most ambitious crossover yet.
Alongside the movie, fans can expect a co-branded holiday merchandise line, including ornaments, greeting cards, and gift wrap.
We can’t help but wonder: first the NFL, then Disney. What partnership will be next for Hallmark?
Why Fans Are So Excited
Hallmark loyalists and Disney adults alike are already thrilled, and so are we. We can look forward to:
- Iconic backdrops. Expect Cinderella Castle, Main Street U.S.A., and holiday overlays to steal scenes. Perhaps the iconic handmade candy canes will make an appearance?
- A unique twist on the familiar. It’s still a classic Hallmark romance, but with Disney-scale sparkle.
- Chabert at the center. Whenever Lacey stars in a Countdown to Christmas movie, it tends to become a seasonal favorite. The woman is on her own Hallmark Christmas ornament for goodness sake.
What’s Still Coming
We have a date, a cast and a premise. Here’s what we’re still waiting on:
The co-branded merchandise line. Hallmark and Disney announced ornaments, greeting cards and gift wrap alongside the movie — no on-sale date yet.
A trailer and first-look photos. Given the Disney World setting, the first images are going to do numbers.
The D23 panel. Hallmark and Disney have a panel scheduled at D23 on August 16, 2026. Expect more details, and quite possibly the first footage, to come out of it. We’ll update this post as soon as it does.

She starred in She’s Making a List in 2025 and Lost in Paradise in January 2026, she has her own Hallmark ornament, and her retail collection was in the gift bags at Hallmark Channel’s own 25th birthday party this month.
