Is Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back the Final Movie in the Series?
This Saturday, April 26, 2025, Hallmark Channel premieres Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back, the latest installment in the long-running and much-beloved Signed, Sealed, Delivered series. But for devoted #POstables fans, there’s a bigger question floating just beneath the surface: Is Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back the final movie in the series?

Searches are surging for Will there be another Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie? and Is To the Moon and Back the finale of Signed, Sealed, Delivered? And for good reason – this new movie is premiering with a near-total absence of fanfare from Hallmark.
There’s been no major marketing push. No social media teasers. No press tour. As of press time, not even key art has been made available. For a series that’s inspired intense loyalty, with viewers watching since its 2014 premiere, this radio silence feels both curious and hard to ignore.
The Legacy of Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Hallmark’s Long-Running Series
Created by Martha Williamson, the same creative force behind Touched by an Angel, the Signed, Sealed, Delivered series has carved out a unique space on Hallmark’s schedule for more than a decade.
The franchise launched with a pilot movie in 2013 and followed with a one-season television series in 2014 before transitioning into a long-running string of TV movies. As of April 2025, To the Moon and Back marks the 14th original movie in the series.
Starring Eric Mabius, Kristin Booth, Crystal Lowe, and Geoff Gustafson, the POstables – Oliver, Shane, Rita, and Norman – have become iconic characters in the Hallmark universe. Each film has combined mystery, romance, and faith in humanity, all underscored by Williamson’s incredible character-driven writing and emotional storytelling.
The movies are more than just episodic – they’re deeply serialized, with meaningful character arcs that have unfolded over years. Writers like Brandi Harkonen and directors such as Kevin Fair and Linda-Lisa Hayter and others have maintained the emotional integrity of the series across installments.
Is Hallmark Quietly Ending Signed, Sealed, Delivered?
It’s difficult not to notice how different things feel with this movie. A franchise this treasured would normally get a spotlight slot in Hallmark’s marketing rotation, but To the Moon and Back has quietly appeared on the schedule with little attention.
It raises the possibility that this film could be, unofficially, the final one. And if so, it’s hard not to feel like the POstables deserved a more meaningful sendoff.
There’s also the matter of Eric Mabius, the series lead. While we tread lightly here, it’s worth noting that Mabius was arrested in Florida in early February 2025 on charges of battery and resisting arrest without violence. People magazine reported details of the two misdemeanor charges and noted Mabius’ formal plea of not guilty.
It’s fair to ask: Could this be a reason why Hallmark has opted to keep this release under the radar?

Could ‘To the Moon and Back’ Be the Series Finale?
If To the Moon and Back is indeed the end of the road, it’s a bittersweet farewell. For many fans, Signed, Sealed, Delivered has offered something rare: a show about hope, second chances, and the enduring power of connection.
It’s also one of the few Hallmark series with a passionate fan base that has organized viewing parties, social media campaigns, and heartfelt appeals to Hallmark for more stories.
To see it potentially close its doors without a formal finale announcement or any celebratory programming is disappointing. It doesn’t feel like the kind of goodbye the POstables deserve.
Will There Be Another Signed, Sealed, Delivered Movie?
As of now, Hallmark has not announced plans for another installment beyond To the Moon and Back. That doesn’t mean it’s the last – we’ve seen the series go dormant before, only to return years later.
But in the absence of promotion, the context of recent events, and the quiet rollout, the signs are pointing to this possibly being the end.
If it is, Signed, Sealed, Delivered will go down as one of Hallmark’s most heartfelt and meaningful franchises – one that built a loyal following not through flash, but through substance, sincerity, and soul.
And if we’ve truly reached the final delivery? Let’s just say: this package deserved more.

You’re right. Signed Sealed Delivered deserves so much more than what we’re getting. I do wish Hallmark was brave enough to admit what they’re doing and why. It seems they’re taking the coward’s way out.
I hope a crucial mistake will not be made by not continuing this wonderful franchise. Excellent story telling, acting and very heart felt and enjoyable. I have followed from the very beginning and look forward to doing so in the future hopefully.
There needs to be at least one if not more movies first so that we can see the group with their babies and Shane and Oliver in their new house. This movie was great but it lacks the closure that we the fans need.
I just love the story lines. The friendships endure through years of up and downs. We see movies like this any longer. It’s a shame. I don’t see any family based movies or series.
