Hope Valley: 1874 Season 1 Episode 4

In Hope Valley: 1874 Season 1 Episode 4 “Trading Places,” now streaming on Hallmark+, the story continues to build as shifting responsibilities and growing tensions ripple through town. Rebecca finds herself taking on more than ever as the boarding house – and seemingly everything else – demands her attention, while Constable Vaughn’s arrival keeps curiosity in the air. Relationships begin to evolve in interesting ways, and a few storylines start to take shape as the series settles into its rhythm. We’re diving into what’s working and what’s raising questions.

Cast and Crew of Hope Valley: 1874

  • Martin Wood returns as director in episode 4. His other work includes When Calls the Heart, Sullivan’s Crossing, and Virgin River. We’ll be curious to see if he returns for any additional episodes.
  • Jennifer Siddle wrote this episode. Her other work includes a series called The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia – which is about a teen girl who navigates a cancer diagnosis and normalcy. 
  • Our regular cast returns with the addition of Tyler Roberge who plays the other Mountie.
