Things are getting spooky on Evergreen Lane! Haul Out the Halloween is the third installment in Hallmark’s festive Haul Out collection, this time trading twinkle lights for cob webs and candy corn. When new Halloween-obsessed neighbors move in, they inspire the residents to transform their street into EverSCREAM Lane and the result is pure Hallmark magic with a spooky twist. Starring Lacey Chabert and Wes Brown, along with returning fan-favorite neighbors and a delightful new addition of Halloweentown alums Kimberly J. Brown and Daniel Kountz, this one promises treats, tricks, and just the right amount of chaos. This post was updated October 2025.

What Is Haul Out the Halloween About?
Set once again in Evergreen Lane – the neighborhood famous for its over-the-top holiday celebrations – Haul Out the Halloween brings a new kind of festive chaos. While Evergreen Lane has always gone big for Christmas, this time the residents are embracing Halloween thanks to two new neighbors.
When Luna (played by Halloweentown star Kimberly J. Brown) and Marvin (Daniel Kountz) move in, they inspire the community to transform the street into “EverSCREAM Lane.” The goal? To host the biggest Halloween celebration ever and raise money for a local charity.
As Jared (Wes Brown), Emily (Lacey Chabert), and the HOA go all-in on Halloween contests, over-the-top decorations, and a spooky carnival, Emily reconnects with the joy of Halloween, a holiday she once loved celebrating with her late grandmother.

Who’s Starring in Haul Out the Halloween?
- Maclain Nelson is back at the helm for Haul Out the Halloween, having previously directed both Haul Out the Holly and Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up. His Hallmark resume also includes gems films like The Magic of Lemon Drops, Branching Out, and The Presence of Love as well as the recent Home Turf.
- Nelson also gets credit for the teleplay, while Christopher Sey is credited with the story idea.
- Lacey Chabert stars as Emily. Lacey has 183 acting credits and last seen opposite Robert Buckley in An Unexpected Valentine in early 2025. She will also star with Andrew Walker in the upcoming She’s Making a List premiering this Countdown to Christmas season.
- Wes Brown stars as Jared. This movie marks his 55th acting credit. We last saw Wes in a cameo during Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, as well as, Deck the Walls – both in 2024. He will also co-star in the upcoming A Newport Christmas.
- Melissa Peterman returns as Pamela. Melissa is currently co-starring in the NBC comedy Happy’s Place and will return as co-host and judge in the second season of Finding Mr. Christmas.
- Stephen Tobolowsky returns as Ned. With 298 acting credits, Stephen recently appeared in the theatrical release of Freakier Friday. Fun fact: he will also appear in the forthcoming Mimics – which is a non-Hallmark, Kristoffer Polaha directed movie.
- Laura Wardle plays Jared’s mom Belinda. This is her 8th acting credit and she did appear in the previous two movies.
- Ellen Travolta returns as Mary Louise. Ellen is best known for her roles in Grease, Happy Days, Charles in Charge, and most recently on General Hospital.
- Walter Platz plays neighbor Bob. This movie marks his 62nd acting credits. Walter did appear in the previous two movies as well as Hallmark’s Switched For Christmas in 2017.
- Eliza Hayes Maher plays Emily’s sister Jess. She has 17 acting credits and has appeared in other Hallmark movies like Hidden Gems and Taking the Reins.
- Ashley Whelan plays Ashlynn Ashworth. Ashley has 21 acting credits and this is her first Hallmark role.
- Kimberly J. Brown joins the cast as Luna. With 34 acting credits to her name, Kimberly is best known for her breakout role as Marnie Piper in the 1998 Disney Channel classic Halloweentown, a character she reprised in several beloved sequels. Beyond her spellbinding start, she’s also appeared in long-running soap operas like Guiding Light and General Hospital.
- Kimberly’s real-life husband and former Halloweentown II co-star, Daniel Kountz, joins the cast as Marvin. With 29 acting credits to his name, Daniel has appeared in popular series including ER, Ghost Whisperer, and United States of Tara. The two were married in 2024 and Lacey Chabert was one of her bridesmaids.
