This year Hallmark is giving us four new Saturday premieres, and the mix is a good one. Even if you’re just killing time before Countdown to Christmas starts, we think you’ll be pleased.
We get a two new mystery movies, a hometown romance, the return of a series fans have been asking about for years, and a small town rivalry that ends the month on a high note.

Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Prelude to a Wedding

Gethsemane gets invited to play at a wedding. Then a member of the bridal party turns up dead, and she and Eamon are pulled into another investigation.
This is the fourth Haunted Harmony movie, and it lands right where the franchise does its best work. Weddings mean a full guest list of suspects, all of them stuck in one place with old grudges and new secrets. That is a good setup for this series.
As of right now Adam Fergus, who plays Detective O’Reilly, isn’t even mentioned on IMDB. We don’t yet know what this means for his character, but things were just heating up between the Detective and Gethsemane in the last movie.

Kaia comes home for her town’s fall festival and her high school reunion. She spends the week with James, her childhood best friend, working through the fall bucket list the two of them never finished.
This is the most classically autumn movie of the month. Small town, fall festival, unfinished business with the boy next door. Hallmark makes a version of this every year and we watch it every year.
The bucket list device is a smart one. It gives the movie a reason to move Kaia and James through hayrides, corn mazes, and apple picking without it feeling like a checklist. We haven’t seen Alvina August since 2022’s A Second Chance at Love and we’re happy to have her back on Hallmark!

Garage Sale Mysteries: Murder Takes the Stage

Jennifer Shannon is back. One of the members of her true crime book club is murdered during the group’s reenactment of the Lizzie Borden case.
This is the big one for September. Garage Sale Mystery ran for fifteen movies before it went away, and fans have been asking about a return ever since. The original cast is coming with it, including Sarah Strange as Dani and Steve Bacic as Jason.
The premise is very Garage Sale Mystery. A book club reenactment that turns into an actual murder is exactly the kind of hook this franchise built its name on. We expect this to be the highest rated premiere of the month, and we would not be surprised to see more Jennifer Shannon movies after it.

Pumpkin Regatta Romance

Nadine’s father owns the local boat shop. Ethan is a pumpkin farmer. Their fathers have been feuding for years, and the two of them team up to end it and bring back the town’s Pumpkin Regatta.
Yes, a pumpkin regatta is a real thing. People hollow out giant pumpkins and race them across the water. Hallmark has been waiting to make this movie and we are glad they finally did.
Mishael Morgan and Corey Sevier are a pairing we have not seen before, and the feuding families setup gives them something to play besides the usual meet cute. This closes out Fall Into Love for 2026, so expect Hallmark to send it out with the full autumn treatment. (And hopefully not too many faux leaves.)

Hallmark has confirmed two Halloween movies airing October 3 and October 10. After that, Countdown to Christmas takes over the schedule for the rest of the year, and Hallmark typically drops the full holiday lineup in mid September.
