Hallmark News: Holiday Movies, Tyler Hynes Ornament & Hallmark Stars on the Road
Another Hallmark Headlines episode is here, and there is genuinely a lot to talk about. Megan curated this week’s list (she’s chronically online, as Wendy likes to say), and Wendy is hearing most of it for the first time. Classic. Buckle up for holiday movie gossip, a Tyler Hynes ornament that deserves its own tree, a baseball stadium at Crown Center, and a live Hallmark tour that has us both equal parts excited and a little nervous.
Oh, and Megan bought a goldfish memory coaster for the new podcast studio. It’s very on brand.

Nothing But Love: A Much Ado About Nothing Adaptation
Hallmark is adapting Much Ado About Nothing into a film called Nothing But Love, starring Ashley Williams as Bea. Ashley and her husband Neil Dodson wrote the script together, and Shameem Sharif (The Way Home, Sullivan’s Crossing, Finding Her Edge) is directing. We are very excited about this one.
Winter Wonderlanes: A Bowling Alley Holiday Movie
Not officially destined for Hallmark yet, but a holiday movie called Winter Wonder;anes (yes, it’s bowling-themed, yes, you have to save the family bowling alley) is directed by Max McGuire, who has done quite a bit of work with Hallmark over the years. Enough of a connection that people are speculating it could land there.
Tyler Hynes Gets His Own Hallmark Keepsake Ornament
Mr. Golden Delicious himself is now a Christmas ornament. He’s wearing a white Henley and a leather jacket, candy cane in his ear, with three charms at the top: a heart, a dog, and a boot. The likeness is genuinely pretty good. Tyler is the second Hallmark star to get this honor, following Lacey Chabert last year. Wendy’s mother-in-law is a huge Tyler Hynes fan, so this may already be on its way to her tree.
Kansas City Royals and Hallmark Team Up at Crown Center
The Royals are leaving their current stadium and moving to a brand new mixed-use development downtown, centered at Crown Center. If you attended the Hallmark Christmas Experience, you know exactly where that is. The plan isn’t officially finalized yet, they’re hoping to break ground next year, and the stadium is estimated at $1.9 billion. Kansas City is having a moment.
Jonathan Bennett Joins General Hospital
Jonathan will join the cast of General Hospital in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick this May. He’s no stranger to soaps (he appeared on All My Children back in 2001-2002), and we are genuinely happy for him. That said, this feels like it closes the door on a Finding Mr. Christmas Season 3 for this year, at least. We’re sad about it. We loved that show.
Kristoffer Polaha Teases a Mystery Project
If you follow Kristoffer Polaha on Instagram, you may have noticed some cryptic posts. Captions like “when movies become missions and where Hollywood becomes holy” alongside a photo of him standing in what commenters are identifying as the Dominican Republic. This does not give us Hallmark vibes. It does give us faith-based project vibes. We don’t know anything for certain, but we’re keeping an eye on it.
Tyler Hynes Hints at More Three Wise Men Collaborations
In an interview with Us Weekly, Tyler said of the trio: “We’re going to find ways to play around in the sand.” Not confirming more Wise Men movies, but suggesting the three of them will work together again. Our take: we love all three of these guys, but we’d love to see them in something completely different. A series, maybe? We would absolutely watch that.
Hallmark Stars Hit the Road This Summer
Hallmark has announced a summer live event tour, two weeks of 90-minute shows. Week one runs July 22-26 and features Nikki DeLoach as host, Andrew Walker, Ashley Williams, Jonathan Bennett, and Tamara Mowry Housley. Week two runs July 29 through August 2 and features Nikki DeLoach, Andrew Walker, Ashley Williams, Kimberly Sustad, and Paul Campbell. Stars may vary by date. Tickets are available now and range roughly $60-$200 depending on location and seat.
The week one cities are Carteret, NJ; Woonsocket, RI; New Haven, CT; Albany, NY; and Morristown, NJ. Week two hits Reading, PA; Northfield, OH; Detroit, MI; Waukegan, IL; and Omaha, NE. It’s very East Coast and Midwest heavy. We’ll be over here waving from Southern California if anyone wants to add a West Coast stop.
Megan is a little worried about ticket sales. There are still a number of available seats at the dates she checked. We hope this one finds its audience because the concept is a good one.
