We can hardly believe it – the Girls Gone Hallmark Best of Movie Bracket is back for its third year of thrilling competition! What began as a fun way to boost engagement on our socials has blossomed into a highly anticipated annual tradition – and we couldn’t be more excited!
Sure, everyone’s busy dropping their Top 5 lists (don’t worry, we’ve got ours too because, of course, we have opinions). But it’s time to hand over the reins to you – the viewers – to settle the debate once and for all. What do you think was the best movie of the season?

Which 2024 Hallmark Christmas Movie was the Best?
Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas may have come to an end, but the holiday fun isn’t over yet. Here’s your chance to celebrate – and debate – the best (and not-so-great) movies of the season one last time!
Hallmark dropped a whopping 52 movies this holiday season, sparking endless Facebook debates over quantity versus quality. Here’s how the lineup broke down by channel.
- Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas: 32 movies
- Hallmark Mystery Miracles of Christmas: 9 movies
- Hallmark+: 7 movies
- Christmas in July (Hallmark Channel): 4 movies
52 movies – yes, fifty-two – is a lot. Can you even remember which one kicked off the 2024 Countdown to Christmas season? It was ‘Twas the Date Before Christmas, starring Robert Buckley and Amy Groening, way back on October 18, 2024. Feels like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it?
Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story completely dominated the 2024 lineup – mostly because it felt like Hallmark threw all its energy (and ad dollars) into hyping the Tyler Hynes vehicle. And sure, it was fun, but it’s a shame, really. Some absolute gems in the lineup were left sitting on the bench without the promotion they deserved.

Why Hallmark+ Was Excluded from the 2024 Bracket
We’re thrilled about the launch of Hallmark+ and the seven new movies that premiered on the streamer, but those titles won’t be part of the bracket. Why? A couple of reasons, but mainly because they functioned more as a series (Unwrapping Christmas) or trilogy (Cherry Lane) rather than standalone films.
We also removed one movie from Christmas in July because, although Rescuing Christmas premiered on Hallmark Channel in 2024, it originally debuted on Hallmark Movies Now in 2023 and was included in our 2023 bracket.
How Does the Best Of Movie Bracket Work?
Determining a winner of the Girls Gone Hallmark Best of Movie Bracket is up to you. Beginning on January 1, 2025 at 5pm PST you will have the opportunity to vote for your favorite movies from the season.
The Best Of Movie Bracket is like a “March Madness” basketball bracket, but with fewer buzzer-beaters and way more cozy sweaters. Hallmark movies will face off in a ruthless single-elimination tournament. One loss and they’re out – no second chances, no rewrites, just “win or go home.”
Here’s some math: 32 Countdown to Christmas movies + 9 Miracles of Christmas movies + 3 Christmas in July movies = 44 movies.
We gave each movie title a random number between 1 and 44. We didn’t do it this way in previous years, but we believe it’s the fairest.
Play-In Round – The bottom 24 seeds will compete in this play-in round. The matchups are determined by 21 vs. 44, 22 vs. 43, 23 vs. 42 – and so on. This results in 12 winners advancing to the main bracket.
Main 32-Movie Bracket – Round 1: Combine the 12 play-in winners with the top 20 seeds (1–20). This results in 16 winners advancing to round 2.
Round 2: 16 winners → 8 winners
Round 3: 8 winners → 4 winners
Semifinals: 4 winners → 2 winners
Finals: 2 winners → 1 champion
The bracket is as simple as it gets (March Madness fans will feel right at home)! As the rounds are played, the field gets chopped in half each time, and eventually, we crown a champion. This will stretch over a few days, with each matchup kicking off at 5 PM PST nightly.
All the voting will take place in the Girls Gone Hallmark

This is all just for kicks. The winning movie gets zilch – no trophy, no parade, not even a gold star. Just the oh-so-prestigious title of Girls Gone Hallmark Best Of Winner.
