Finding Mr. Christmas Episode 7: Let’s Dance!
Warning: This post contains spoilers for Finding Mr. Christmas episode 7 on Hallmark+, including who was eliminated.
Episode 7 of Finding Mr. Christmas, fittingly titled “A Christmas Waltz,” has the contestants spinning—both on and off the dance floor. This week, the guys attempt choreography with none other than pro dancer Witney Carson, while also channeling their inner “Hot Frosty” in a snowman-building challenge that’s equal parts hilarious and competitive. It’s a holly jolly blend of drama, holiday cheer, and just enough chaos to keep us hooked. Who’s waltzing into our hearts, and who’s destined to face-plant in the tinsel?
Listen to Girls Gone Hallmark Recap Finding Mr. Christmas Episode 7
Morning at the Finding Mr. Christmas house kicks off with Elijah side-eyeing the sweater squad and joking that he clearly missed the memo – because while the other guys are rocking festive knitwear, he’s just rocking…couch vibes? Yes, the mysterious sleeping arrangements continue to baffle us. But, Elijah keeps it cozy with a casual “I love you all…but I’m coming for you.” We hear the sound of bells and you know what that means – it’s time for the next Festive Face-Off.
The Festive Face-Off: Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?
The guys head upstairs, where JB is waiting with a grin wider than a Christmas wreath. He congratulates them on making it to the “Frosty Four” – because who doesn’t love a holiday pun? The room buzzes with excitement, but JB quickly drops the frosty truth: only three will make it to the finale. Cue the tension! In his interview, Blake brings the sass, admitting he’s all for these bros – but only if they’re waving to him from spots 2, 3, and 4 while he’s comfortably perched at number 1. Nothing says “season of giving” like a healthy dose of competitive holiday shade!
“Do you want to build a snowman?” asks Jonathan Bennett to kick off today’s festive face-off. But this isn’t your run-of-the-mill snowman competition – it’s a team challenge with a devilish twist: one guy is blindfolded while the other must guide him through an obstacle course of finding snowman parts. Oh, and it’s also a callback to last week’s lesson on taking direction.
Melissa Peterman is back, but her screen time feels criminally short these days, and frankly, we’re not okay. Her quick wit deserves a spotlight bigger than the snowman’s head.
Meanwhile, the teams – Elijah and Hayden, and Ezra and Blake – gear up for battle. Ezra, brimming with confidence, recalls his and Blake’s football days, convinced their quarterback-receiver dynamic will translate into snowman supremacy.
The drama unfolds as Hayden, blindfolded, crawls across the floor like a disoriented reindeer while Elijah shouts directions. On the other side, Ezra is basically Spielberg in a holiday sweater, directing Blake with calm authority.
Things start strong for Ezra and Blake – they nab the first four snowman pieces with precision. But then disaster strikes: Blake accidentally knocks the snowman’s hat clean off, and the team’s lead melts faster than Frosty on a sunny day.
As the dramatic music swells, Elijah and Hayden pull ahead, completing their snowman while Ezra and Blake fumble hard.
JB’s Heart-to-Heart: Genuine Wisdom or Oscar-Worthy Performance?
A new day dawns, and Jonathan Bennett drops by the house for a little heart-to-heart with the guys – think Tyra Banks showing up at the ANTM house to drop some wisdom and maybe stir the pot. JB opens the floor for acting advice, industry tips, and general life guidance, which is honestly a vibe we’re into.
But then JB gets emotional, voice quivering as he tells the guys they’ve surpassed all expectations. Sweet, right? Except… it’s giving not super believable. Unlike the raw, heartfelt moment with Daxton back in Episode 1, this one feels more Hallmark script than real-life sincerity.
The Star Quality Challenge: Let’s Dance!
This week’s Star Quality Challenge cranks up the heat – or should we say, the holiday sparkle – with a waltz that’s less about fancy footwork and more about acting through the dance. JB introduces Dancing with the Stars legend and Emmy-nominated choreographer Witney Carson, who’s here to whip these hopefuls into leading-man shape. Hayden and Elijah score bonus time with Witney, which immediately has Ezra sweating bullets. “This might be the challenge that sends me home,” he admits, as Witney outlines the choreography, probably wondering if teaching NFL stars was easier than this.
The twist? Beyond the waltz, there’s a faster, trickier routine thrown in for good measure. Blake and Ezra are relegated to the sidelines while Hayden and Elijah get extra practice with Witney. Blake tries to coach Ezra on the script and logistics, proving he’s more supportive than he comes off in his talking-head interviews.
Cue the Winter Wonderland Elimination Cave, where JB pulls a Survivor-style twist by bringing out the guys’ leading ladies. The waterworks are immediate: Ezra’s sister Barbara arrives with bestie energy, Hayden’s sister Jess shows up in a puddle of jet-lagged tears, and Blake’s sister Sarah lights up the room. Elijah steals the moment, though, when his pregnant girlfriend Ashley makes her entrance. “Two leading ladies,” he beams, referencing his unborn daughter.
Then, it’s showtime! Blake goes first, kicking off with an ad-libbed “This ain’t my first rodeo.” He stumbles during the faster routine, calls for a restart, and recovers with enthusiasm and his signature grin. Elijah steps up and absolutely owns the floor with great rhythm, killer smiles, and audience cheers. Ezra follows with all the eyebrow acting he can muster, and while his lines lack believability, his dance moves hold up. Tears flow post-performance, comforted by his sister, Barbara. Finally, Hayden takes the stage, flubbing his lines but delivering smooth moves and unforgettable expressions during the quicker dance. His piercing blue eyes do half the acting, but he’s convinced he’s botched it and fears this might be his last waltz.
And just like that, the drama and sparkle of the Star Quality Challenge leave us with more questions than answers – who’s shining bright, and who’s melting faster than a snowman in July?
A Heartfelt Timeout: Sweet Moments Before the Elimination
Back at the house, the guys get some much-needed downtime with their loved ones, which feels like a reality check wrapped in holiday cheer. Elijah goes full Hallmark dad-to-be, giving tummy kisses to his pregnant girlfriend like it’s his job. Meanwhile, Blake gets deep with his sister, reminiscing about his football days and how acting scratches the same competitive itch. But just as we’re settling into the warm fuzzies, the loved ones peace out, leaving the boys with nothing but their feelings and a whole lot of pressure.
Elimination Ceremony
Warning: This post contains spoilers for Episode 7 of Finding Mr. Christmas on Hallmark+, including who was eliminated.
The judges huddle up to deliberate, and Witney is genuinely impressed that the guys managed to pivot from teary family reunions to holiday waltzing without tripping over their emotions – or their feet.
She gives props to Blake’s cheeky “rodeo” ad-lib but calls out his nervous energy, suggesting he trade in some cowboy swagger for leading man finesse. Ezra earns high marks for being playful and nailing his waltz sway, plus JB gushes over his gentlemanly gesture of offering a hand – chivalry isn’t dead, apparently. Hayden gets a mixed review: he kept going despite flubs, and JB loved how he pulled Witney into the scene, but maybe dialed up the playfulness a bit too much. Meanwhile, Elijah’s glowing review is interrupted by JB’s odd critique that he lacked the connection Ezra had with Witney.
Excuse me while I do a double take – did we watch the same dance-off? Elijah slayed, and this sudden Ezra hype feels like we’ve slipped into an alternate Christmas dimension.
At the Elimination Cave, the tension is as thick as frosting on a Christmas cookie. Witney congratulates the guys on their performances, but JB delivers the shocker: the winner of the challenge, praised for “overcoming fears” and “jumping in feet first,” is Ezra. What now? Don’t get me wrong, I like Ezra, but Elijah was clearly the Rudolph of this reindeer game.
Hayden, Blake, and Elijah land in the bottom three, but it’s Blake and Hayden who face the final showdown. JB insists it’s about the overall journey, not just this challenge. Blake pleads his case with passion and fire, while Hayden reflects on self-trust and his personal growth. The bro vibes run high as Hayden is heartbroken at the thought of Blake leaving.
And then it happens: JB sends Blake packing. Blake handles the loss like a champ, saying he’s at peace and even dropping some motivational wisdom about leaning into discomfort and finding your passion. JB and MP shower him with praise for his growth, but not before reminding him to grab his stocking on the way out.
Bye Blake. Take your red flags and two-step on outta here.
