What is Christmas with the Singhs About?

Synopsis: Newly engaged Asha Singh and Jake O’Brien are excited to spend Christmas together, but their relationship is tested when their families’ cultural and holiday traditions clash.

About Christmas with the Singhs

  • Panta Mosleh directed. Not only is she both an actress and producer, this movie is her eleventh directorial project but first for Hallmark Channel.
  • Patricia Isaac is credited with the story idea and original script – this is her first writing project outside of a short from 2014 .
  • Emily Ting is also credited for the script, as she was hired for a rewrite of the original. Emily recently directed the Netflix hit movie “Girl Haunts Boy” and has written several Hallmark movies including “Sealed with a List” and “Christmas at the Golden Dragon.”
  • Anuja Joshi stars as Asha. With 7 acting credits, this is Anjua’s first project for Hallmark. However, you may recognize her as Leela Devi from her 42 episode of the FOX drama “The Resident.”
  • Benjamin Hollingsworth plays Jake. He is no stranger to Hallmark starring in movies like “The Santa Summit” and “An Easter Bloom.”  Benjamin will appear in the upcoming “Deck the Halls on Cherry Lane” on Hallmark+ later this season, as well as continue his role as Dan Brady on Netflix’s “Virgin River.”
  • Manoj Sood plays Asha’s father Samuel. He has been acting since 1995 with 65 credits to his name. You may recognize him from “Snowpiercer,” his previous Hallmark role in “Poisoned in Paradise: A Martha’s Vineyard Mystery” or in one of the 95 episodes he did for a Canadian show called “Little Mosque on the Prairie.”
  • Nimet Kanji plays Asha’s mom Nirmila. She has a healthy resume with several Hallmark movies including “Make Me a Match” and “Coyote Creek Christmas.”
  • Greg Rogers plays Jake’s dad, Jake Sr. We last saw him in “Curious Caterer: Foiled Plans” but has been in other Hallmark movies like “Cranberry Christmas” and “A Dickens of a Holiday!”
  • Michele Scarabelli played Jake’s mom Molly. She has 95 acting credits and has been seen in Hallmark movies like “Our Italian Christmas Memories,” “A Kismet Christmas” and “The Wedding Veil Legacy.”
  • Daylin Willis plays Jake’s friend Ethan. We recently have seen him in kind of a lot: “Holiday Crashers” and “A Sprinkle of Deceit: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.”
