Girls Gone Hallmark has a new home!
We used to be a bonus episode under the Long Story Short with Megan and Wendy banner. Now, Girls Gone Hallmark is its very own podcast! We would love it if you would follow us over there and leave a review! New episodes drop weekly!
News and Notes About Chasing Waterfalls
- The movie was filmed in remote locations of British Columbia.
- The real Loon Lake Lodge and Retreat Centre was used as exterior shots for the movie’s Pinestone Lake Lodge.
Six Degrees of Cindy Busby
In 2017 Cindy Busby starred as Stephanie in Date My Dad a family comedy/drama which aired for one season on UP TV. Cindy’s character was the obvious love interest for single dad Ricky played by Barry Watson. Did they ever hook up? I can’t recall – do you?
We were fortunate enough to host the Date My Dad Facebook Live pre-show on UP TV’s Facebook page. It was a fast and furious fifteen minutes for 10-weeks! We loved it and we loved Cindy Busby as Stephanie.
What is Chasing Waterfalls About?
Chasing Waterfalls is about a photographer who sets out on a dream assignment to photograph some of the world’s most elusive waterfalls. Then, as in all Hallmark movies, meets a handsome gentleman who pushes her outside of her comfort zone and the two eventually fall in love and kiss. The end.
Did Chasing Waterfalls Feature TLC?
No. The Hallmark Channel movie Chasing Waterfalls does not feature the R&B female pop sensation TLC or even their hit song of the same name. The song was only used in the commercial.
Megan shared that the TLC song is pretty dark and Hallmark basically romanticized the chorus to fit the movie narrative.
Mentioned in this Episode
Shout out to the guys at Deck the Hallmark for pointing out the names of the characters in this movie during their Spring Fling podcast review episode. Amy Atwater (Cindy Busby) and Mark North (Christopher Russell) are almost a little too on the nose, right?
