Our favorite baker-turned-sleuth is back in action, and this time Hannah and Chad are juggling two unsolved puzzles at once. Best Served Cold is the 14th installment in Hallmark’s beloved Hannah Swensen Mystery franchise, and Alison Sweeney once again writes, executive produces, and stars.
When a suspect in a high-profile forgery case turns up murdered and the prosecutor handling the case suddenly goes missing, Hannah and Chad must figure out how both events are connected. And they have to do it before the trial clock runs out!
Meanwhile, Hannah’s mother Delores puts her own private investigation skills to work, having already gone undercover to help build the forgery case. The mystery unravels through a trail of pawnshop scams, dead ends, and (of course) some very good baking.

About the Hannah Swensen Mystery Franchise
What started as the Murder, She Baked films has grown into one of Hallmark’s most beloved franchises. Alison Sweeney plays Hannah Swensen, a small-town Minnesota baker with an uncanny habit of stumbling upon murder — and an even more uncanny talent for solving them.
The franchise is based on Joanne Fluke’s cozy mystery novel series, which spans roughly 30 books. Alison Sweeney writes and executive produces in addition to starring, making this a true passion project. Best Served Cold is her 14th entry in the series.
This is the second Hannah Swensen Mystery to premiere in 2026, following Sugar & Vice: A Hannah Swensen Mystery in March — which was the number one movie on its premiere day.
