- This movie had two different working titles, including Flirting with Romance and Love by the Book.
- Advice to Love By was settled on after discovering Love by the Book was already the name of a Hallmark Channel movie in 2015.
- Director Heather Hawthorn-Doyle also directed A Little Daytime Drama.

- Heather Hawthron-Doyle was also tapped as director of A Godwink Christmas: Miracle of Love. This will be the fourth installment in the Godwink series. Its premiere date is still TBD.
