We are rewinding back to one of our favorite Tyler Hynes Hallmark movies, and honestly? It holds up. Megan and Wendy are revisiting A Picture of Her, the Hallmark Channel spring romance starring Tyler Hynes and Rhiannon Fish, and there is a lot to unpack.
In this episode, we get into what we loved (those kissing scenes, the chemistry, the surprisingly healthy ending), what we wished had gone differently (the viral photo storyline, we have THOUGHTS), and of course our favorite segment, Did You See That?, where we catch all the little moments you may have missed the first time around.
Spoiler: the chemistry between Tyler Hynes and Rhiannon Fish is genuinely off the charts. We may have speculated a little about why that is. About A Picture of Her:
A Picture of Her premiered on Saturday, March 25th on Hallmark Channel as part of the Spring Into Love programming event. Beth unwittingly becomes the subject of an award-winning magazine cover and sets out to find the mystery photographer who snapped the photo without her knowledge, played by Tyler Hynes.
Behind the Scenes of A Picture of Her
The movie was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. In an interview with Just Jared, Rhiannon Fish talked about how cold it actually was on set while filming what was supposed to be a spring movie. The crew built covered outdoor structures to block the snow so they could shoot exterior scenes without their actors turning into popsicles.
The script was written by Donald Davenport and Jeff Wood. Davenport’s previous writing credit before this was a 2012 film called Hell and Mr. Fudge, which is a sentence we will never stop being delighted by.
The film was directed by Michael Robison, who has 78 directing credits to his name. Tyler Hynes fans will recognize him as the director behind An Unexpected Christmas and It Was Always You.
Rhiannon Fish brings 21 acting credits to this movie, including other Hallmark films like Nikki and Nora: Sister Sleuths and A Splash of Love. Samantha Ferris, who plays Aunt Doty, has 85 acting credits including Hallmark’s Eight Gifts of Hanukkah and the sci-fi series The 4400.
