A Knight to Remember: Premiere Date, Cast and the Book It’s Based On
A medieval knight, a museum conservator, and one accidental kiss. A Knight to Remember premieres Saturday, October 3 at 8/7c on Hallmark Channel, and it’s the Fall Into Love movie we’ve been waiting for all season. It’s also the book our Girls Gone Hallmark Book Club is reading right now.
A Knight to Remember Premiere Date
A Knight to Remember premieres Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel and streams the next day on Hallmark+.
You may have seen this one listed under its original title, Her Knight at the Museum, which is also the name of the novel it’s based on.

What Is A Knight to Remember About?
Emily Porter (Julie Gonzalo) is a museum conservator assigned to restore a centuries-old statue of a medieval knight, Sir Griffin de Beauford (James Trevena). One unexpected kiss brings him back to life, and her carefully ordered world goes sideways.
From there, Emily becomes Griffin’s guide to modern Chicago. That means pumpkin spice lattes, a Halloween Medieval Fayre, and an FBI investigation being run by her ex-husband, which is a sentence we did not expect to type about a Hallmark fall movie.
As a rare celestial conjunction approaches and Griffin’s fate hangs in the balance, Emily has to decide whether to keep her heart guarded or take a chance on a love written in the stars.
So: a fish-out-of-water fantasy romance with a Halloween festival, a ticking clock and an ex-husband complication. Hallmark doesn’t usually swing this big in the fall.
Who Stars in A Knight to Remember?
Julie Gonzalo plays Emily Porter. You know her from Veronica Mars and from Dallas, where she played Pamela Rebecca Barnes. She was also in the iconic fall movie: 3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1 Ghost.
James Trevena plays Sir Griffin de Beauford. He’s having a moment on Hallmark this year: he also appears in A Grand Biltmore Christmas on December 5th, playing James, the suitor Aunt Maysilee wants Elizabeth to marry. Two period roles in one season.
Chris McNally makes a cameo appearance. He and Gonzalo are partners in real life, and he filmed his scenes while she was shooting the movie. Reports suggest their daughter briefly appears on screen too, which would make this a whole family affair.
Speaking of cameos, we spy Girls Gone Hallmark favorite Matty Finochio in this press still.

The Book: Her Knight at the Museum by Bryn Donovan
The movie is based on Bryn Donovan’s 2024 novel Her Knight at the Museum, published by Berkley.
In the book, Sir Griffin de Beauford has been cursed by an enchanter to see, hear and think while trapped motionless in stone for centuries. Emily Porter, a recently divorced conservator at the Art Institute of Chicago, is assigned to restore the statue, and an unexpected kiss breaks the curse. What follows is a knight in literal shining armor crashing through priceless antiquities and dismantling her defenses along the way.
Donovan has been generous about the adaptation, commenting publicly that the casting is perfect.
One heads up for book club readers: the novel is spicier than the movie will be. Hallmark adaptations tend to keep the bones of a story and soften the rest, and they did a lovely job with Adventures in Birding, so we have high hopes here.

Why We’re Excited
Hallmark is doing fantasy. A cursed statue, a celestial conjunction and a time-displaced knight is a genre swing we’re seeing more and more of on the network and we’re here for it.
The Halloween Medieval Fayre setting. A Knight to Remember and The Spirit of Halloween on October 10 close out Fall Into Love with two October-flavored movies, which is a nice hand-off into spooky season.
Book to screen is a format that works here. Comparing the page to the screen is half the fun, and it’s exactly why we picked this one for the book club.
