We have been waiting for this one. A Castle of Our Own is the final Summer Nights premiere of June 2026 on Hallmark Channel, and it brings back one of the most beloved actors in the Hallmark universe after a very difficult two years away. Megan and Wendy are here for it, and we think you will be too.
A Castle of Our Own premieres tonight, Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel. It will be available to stream on Hallmark+ starting June 28.

What Is A Castle of Our Own About?
Marley is a burnt-out Seattle architect who is very good at her job and not quite as good at everything else. She has been saving up for a long-promised trip to Paris with her teenage daughter Lily, but something always gets in the way. When her ex-husband backs out of a planned father-daughter beach trip at the last minute, Marley steps in, determined to make it a phone-free, work-free week of actual quality time together. Of course, stepping away from her work brain is easier said than done.
At Cannon Cove, she meets Adam, her next-door neighbor for the week, a contractor nursing his own heartbreak after a failed relationship. The town’s annual sandcastle contest gives both of them something to focus their energy on and, naturally, gives them a reason to spend a lot of time together. Sandcastles, second chances, and a small town with a sandcastle-building villain named Gordo. This movie has everything.
About A Castle of Our Own
Directed by Kaylin Metchie as part of Hallmark’s Make Her Mark program, the initiative spearheaded by actress and director Ashley Williams to bring more female directors onto Hallmark sets. This appears to be Metchie’s Hallmark directorial debut.
Written by Nina Weinman. Nina is a familiar name around here. She co-wrote Christmas in Tahoe and has a solid list of Hallmark credits to her name. She knows how to write a summer romance.
Brennan Elliott plays Adam. We have missed Brennan Elliott and we know you have too. He has appeared in over 30 Hallmark movies, including the beloved Crossword Mysteries franchise and, most recently, His and Hers with Lacey Chabert in 2024. In March 2025, Brennan’s wife Camilla Rowe passed away after an eight-year battle with Stage 4 gastric cancer. He stepped away from acting to grieve and to be present for their two children, Liam and Luna. His return to Hallmark with A Castle of Our Own is genuinely moving.
In interviews with Entertainment Now Brennan said that filming this movie was the first time in years he felt truly free to enjoy his work without the weight of caregiving and financial worry hanging over him. His late wife’s wish for him was that he would eventually be able to do his work with joy. By all accounts, this movie gave him exactly that. Welcome back, Brennan.
Erica Cerra plays Marley. Erica is a Vancouver-born actress with an impressive and wide-ranging resume. Hallmark fans will recognize her from Mystery on Mistletoe Lane (2023) and A Dance in the Snow (2024). Outside of Hallmark, she is best known for playing Deputy Jo Lupo across all five seasons of the beloved SyFy series Eureka, and for playing the dual role of the artificial intelligence A.L.I.E. and her creator Becca Franco on the CW’s The 100. She also voiced Susan Heffley, the mom in the animated Diary of a Wimpy Kid trilogy on Disney+. She is a natural fit for a character like Marley: someone with clear competence and just as clear a blind spot about how to slow down.
Sarah Sheehan plays daughter Lily. The mother-daughter dynamic is at the heart of this movie, and Lily is more than a plot device. She is the reason Marley makes the trip in the first place and the one who benefits most from watching her mom figure things out.
